Stable-Tec Studios, Building a better future!

Stable-Tec Studios is a non-profit organization formed and dedicated
to bringing the world of Fallout Equestria to life!

We are an international multi-media production effort, comprised of fans of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the Fallout game franchise, with the stated of bringing our favorite MLP/Fallout crossover story Fallout: Equestria to life as an animated series. We also intend to produce other projects as we grow; some related to Fallout: Equestria, some not.

At this time, nearing March 2015, the studio has over 90 active members and is still recruiting for experienced contributors. For those interested in joining our effort, see the Apply page.

To learn a bit more about us, and the various departments involved in this epic undertaking, you can reference departments, contacts, and bios pages.

Fallout: The Games

Fallout is a long-running post-apocalyptic computer game franchise.

War, War never changes.

The world of Fallout is one based on 50s cartoon logic. If a nuclear bomb explodes you'll be fine if you hide under a doorway, and if you get caught in the blast you turn into a radioactive zombie.

The games focus on life roughly 250 into a fictional future where, 200 years earlier, a nuclear war between the east and the west ended the world as we knew it. Now canibalistic tribes of raiders, mutants and monsters roam the surface world, while tiny enclaves of humanity eke out a miserable living at the mercy of those who prey on them.

Underground, in grand fallout shelters called Vaults, other people live: They were locked in when the bombs fells, and have lived in isolation for centuries. The Fallout games tend to revolve around these vaults opening their doors one way or the other - rarely under benign circumstances - and what happens next, for what has not seen the light of day for centuries shoudln't necesarily be let out.

In Fallout 3 you play as a survivor, where you have lived all your life inside one such vault, until your father leaves it under mysterious circumstances - and you follow after him, into an alien world full of danger and adventure.

In Fallout: New Vegas you play as a courier who gets caught in the crossfire of a massive political power play over who gets to rule the Mojave desert and the lands beyond. The corrupt NCR? Ceasar's Legion? The city-state of New Vegas? You? Everything is possible in New Vegas.

Having played the Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas isn't necesary to understand the story and Stable-Tec's animated series, but it helps get a solid feel for the setting.

Fallout: Equestria

As many know, Fallout: Equestria is based on two very popular franchises that became a new world where both were combined into a work of fan fiction that has inspired its own dedicated following.

Working in conjunction with the talented creator of this now published work, we are making every effort in endeavoring to remain true to the artist's vision while making the necessary changes to avoid any potential legal complications.

Fallout: Equestria is an epic and detailed crossover story mixing MLP:FiM and the Fallout setting, written by the lovely Kkat.

It borrows elements from both the MLP:FiM and Fallout setting, mixing the two into an entirely new entity. Where Fallout is often themed around choices of good or evil, MLP:FiM focuses on friendship and trials and tribulations that friends endure - or fall appart because of.

In this respect Kkat found a unlikely matchup, but if one judges the brony community's reaction to the story, then it is undoutably as resounding success, as many bronies consider Fallout: Equestria one of the greatest works of fiction made in the community.

The term 'great' isn't an exageration either: The story is longer than Tolstoy's War and Peace - but contains enough heartwarming as well as heartbreaking moments that one barely notices.

In the brony community the Fallout: Equestria story has also spawned a legion of fanfiction stories based on the same setting. Indeed, the Fallout setting alone is quite expansive and easily allows for new content into its post-apocalyptic wasteland, be it a blown up mountain full of robots that steal brains to a city full of slaves and their cruel masters who dream of industry and conquest.

Having read the story isn't necesary to understand the animated series - but again, it can help. Readers beware though: as with many movie adaptations, the animated adaptation of Fallout: Equestria won't be able to contain everything. So for the full experience, we can only advise that you read the original story, and hope you enjoy it as much as we here at Stable-Tec Studios have.

Fallout: Equestria

Our biggest and chief project is the animated feature. But our efforts don't stop there.

We have a lot of talented members, with a lot of ideas, and we'd like to support them in bringing those ideas to life, and sharing them with fans of the setting, the book, and the game. We have several already up and going, some of which you may be familiar with.

Confessions of a Wasteland Pony goes in depth with various individuals, and their experiences in this harsh environment. Many of the stories touch on the history, some hidden, some known, to offer new insights and ideas on how and why things came to pass as they did. With some outstanding characters, and hosted by a well-known character, they offer an alternate look at the wasteland and its inhabitants.

The Fallout:Equestria Audiobook is a project our own Waveform/Michael Hall has been working on for some time. With currently more than 10 chapters done, this is an amazing way to experience Kkat's world, complete with an array of voice actors, narration, music, and sound effects. If you enjoy the story, but have a hard time setting aside time to read, try this one out. It lends a whole new aspect to the experience, putting you right in the middle of the action, in a very well done production.

Terminal Secrets is our newest audio project, taken from the point of view of a systems analyst, reviewing various stables. The first episode, DOSE, is up and running. For fear of spoiling too much, lets say these aren't stories that will sit easily with many - and for good reason. Secrets have consequences. What will these bring?

The Balefire Symphony has a number of musical works out, and has even released their first full album! Check out their work here on our site, on Youtube, or their own page for some great music, fun remakes, and songs made especially for the work here in the studio.

Stable-Talk is currently on hiatus, but it has been the medium for getting to know the various members here in the studio, and in some cases, reaching out to our fans around the world. When we get it up and rolling again, you folks will be the first to know!
